Why did we choose the name OvenPig?

Probably the question we get asked most frequently! Quite simply, because its a Pig of a job.

OvenPig is a national Franchise? isn’t it?

No! OvenPig is a small family run business, local to you. No call centres, no pricing by postcode. When you call you speak to the team who will visit your home and our prices are the same for all.

Why should I have my oven cleaned professionally?

Well, mainly because it lets us take care of the hard work for you, it is one of the most hated household jobs, our methods also extend the life of your oven and improve the taste of your food, whilst we ensure that we research all types of oven enamel and surfaces and use the correct detergents and products to keep your appliance damage free and shinning just like it did when you bought it.

Are your methods safe?

Totally! Our range of oven cleaning products are non-toxic, food safe, biodegradable and entirely fume free,we also carry all COSHH and data sheets with us, if you have any concerns at all we will be more than happy to talk you though them. Having a trained specialist take care of your oven is the best way to get your oven looking like new without having to purchase a brand new oven.

How long does an oven clean take?

Depending on the age, type, size and condition of the oven as well as any additional services you may require, the process can take anything from 2 to 4 hours. When making your appointment we will go through everything you would like cleaned and give you a fairly accurate approximation, our oven cleaning specialists will be able to give you a more accurate figure when they can physically see the oven and appliances in person. In order to keep our prices low we cannot visit and quote per job prior to completing it, however at Ovenpig we price by the appliance not by the time it takes to complete, so you always know the price before we start work.

How soon after the clean can I use my oven?

Immediately if you want to! Why not stand back in wonder at the job we have just completed and tell a few friends about us first?

How often should I get my oven cleaned?

Many ovens get neglected for far too long, This may result in your temperature gauges displaying inaccurate readings, cause your oven to under perform and even create an increase in electricity consumption as your oven wastes energy in warming up the burnt on greasy build up from the previous months of cooking, the result of this is that your food may cook unevenly or even be undercooked when your timer runs out. Dependent on usage an oven should be thoroughly cleaned roughly every 9 months, with a bare minimum of once a year! We can even give you useful hints and tips of how to maintain your oven in between our visits, saving you money in the future.

Do your operators carry spares?

At Ovenpig the only spare stock we carry is replacement bulbs, many Oven cleaning businesses carry parts for repairs that are not specific to your appliance, but a universal brand that fits many makes and models (not always well), at Ovenpig we concentrate on what we do best but work with other companies in the area that we trust to give you the best service without the hassle, if you have a fault or problem with your appliance please give us a call and we will put in you in touch with a qualified local expert or point you in the right direction to buy the parts online without the usual mark up.

My oven has self cleaning panels what does this mean?

A high percentage of our customers have ‘self cleaning’ ovens and ask the same question, our range of products are specifically designed to cope with all oven types and self cleaning panels/liners can be cleaned as part of the service. Self-cleaning ovens are designed to burn off debris left behind from cooking. However, many do not reach the high temperature needed to produce the required result. Many customers express how difficult it can be to attempt cleaning such ovens themselves, as these liners ‘hide’ the majority of grease and fat build-up.

Our cleaning process is designed to work on all ovens and will completely remove any built up deposits leaving you with a truly clean oven that will serve its purpose for years to come.
